It isn’t every day the full Wu-Tang Clan makes an appearance. When the iconic rap group performed at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound last year, neither Method Man nor Raekwon took the stage, according to SPIN, but the full nine-member compliment was on hand weeks later at Iowa’s 80/35 Music Festival — go figure. So far this year, Wu-Tang’s members have reportedly made peace en route to finishing their long-promised new album, A Better Tomorrow, and they’ve roped in a Cher guest appearance on their other new album, the one-copy-only Once Upon a Time in Shaolin.
Last night, the full complement save the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard stopped by The Daily Show, telling host Jon Stewart A Better Tomorrow is now scheduled for November. They also debuted the album’s “Ron O’Neal,” which like other recent tracks “Family Reunion” and “Keep Watch” sticks close to classic Wu-Tang’s soul-steeped style. They finished with their landmark hit “Triumph.”
