Last night, six of Wu-Tang Clan’s eight surviving members, along with RZA’s kind of rad new glasses and U-God’s definitely rad shawl-collar winter sweater, dropped by the Late Show With David Letterman to perform “Ruckus in B Minor,” the first track on the forthcoming A Better Tomorrow, on which they defiantly assert “Still Number One!” on the chorus, mainly reminding longtime fans that there was once a time they didn’t have to say it. Pros: the song sounds livelier and more ecstatic than the mostly inert recorded version, even though it’s hard to inject life or levity into the verse where a crotchety Method Man tells young rappers to pull their pants up. Watch the full performance below.
