Johanna and Klara Söderberg got one of their earliest big breaks when Jack White approached them to record a single on his Third Man Records, and now they’re returning the warmth. The Swedish sister’s band, First Aid Kit, was on Triple J as part of the Australian radio station’s “Like a Version” covers series when, after belting out a bit of Tenacious D, they settled in for a pared-down but rapt rendition of “Love Interruption.” That’s off the White Stripes frontman’s 2012 solo debut, Blunderbuss; he recently set a vinyl sales record with this year’s follow-up, Lazaretto, and he appears on Beck’s brand-new Song Reader album. Check out our contributor Dan Hyman’s review of First Aid Kit’s 2014 album, Stay Gold.
