tUnE-yArDs’ third LP nikki nack is out May 6 via 4AD; she’s already unleashed a megamix to preview the new songs, but now we’ve got “Water Fountain,” the first full track. It’s high-energy playground-pop done right, driven by handclaps, hollow drums, cowbell and a funky, prominent bass line, with Merrill Garbus’s trademark mix of not-so-melodic sing-talking, chanting and a few “woo-ha!”s for good measure. (Spoiler alert: This whole record is incredible.)

She also announced more live dates, including a few gigs opening for Arcade Fire and a headlining tour with support from Sylvan Esso.
