Stream Two Songs From Yelle’s New Dr. Luke-Backed Album, ‘Completement Fou’

Yelle shared the lead single from its new Complètement fou album today, a club-calibrated number that was sketched by composer/co-founder GrandMarnier and enhanced by hit maker Dr. Luke and members of his production team (Oliver “Oligee” Goldstein, Cirkut, KoOol Kojak, A.C, Billboard, JMIKE, MadMax). It’s unclear who did what, but the title track makes a convincing bid for Yelle crossing over to the mainstream, French lyrics and all, thanks to some incessant synth stabs, an ecstatic chorus and major-keyed melodies that are as bright as the album’s high contrast sleeve.

“We used to do everything by ourselves,” singer Yelle — the group is named after her — said in a press release, “but we wanted to open the circle this time around because we love people!”

Well alright then. Have a listen down below, right alongside cover art, a complete tracklisting, tour dates, and the previously leaked “Bouquet Final.” Look out for the rest of the record on September 30 through Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe imprint…
