“Weather’s growing old and gray/ Summer’s gone away,” Silver Ships’ Chazz Bessette sings in his bittersweet end-of-summer ode. The retro track mixes the warm feel of summertime — jangly guitars, a bouncy melody, no shortage of “oooohs”. But minor-key organs interrupt throughout to gently remind us that while we’re having fun now, we’re running out of time to squeeze in everything we wanted to do throughout the season.

Stream “Summer’s Gone” below, and look for it on Silver Ships’ LP, Songs From A Room That Never Moves, out September 30.
