Scissors for Lefty first stepped onto the scene with LP Underhanded Romance back in 2007. The California group disbanded for awhile, but not before touring extensively with tons of like-minded artists, including the Arctic Monkeys, the Smashing Pumpkins, Erasure, Fiery Furnaces, Dirty Pretty Things, The Matches, The Hedrons, Juliette and the Licks, Locksley, and Metric. Scissors for Lefty’s instantly accessible synth-pop fits the big-name bill and summons the power pop finesse of OK Go for their latest, “Bangs and Lashes.” Glimmering with danceable beats, the glam-rock track is straight off the band’s new record of the same name, due out in October.
