With the late, great Postmarks, Christopher Moll write spry, light-as-air indie pop in league with Camera Obscura and the quieter Belle & Sebastian songs. So it’s a shock to hear the opening moments of “Dis-Moi Qui Tu Aimes,” a raucous garage-soul rave-up anchored in the potent vocals of Maco Monthervil. The song wouldn’t sound out of place in some weird ’60s French mod B-movie, the kind where the protagonists puff Gitanes, cruise the streets on Vespas and burn the nights away in low-lit dance clubs.
