The members of Lenguas Largas self-describe as follows: “A group of guys who range from werewolf looking motherfuckers to dudes with cute ass shoes.” Their music is just as wide-ranging. “Kawasaki Dream” is a weirdo sci-fi pogo a song built from old vacuum tubes salvaged from a 1950s U.F.O. and held together with neon Play-Doh. There are elements of Bobby Conn in Issac Reyes’s panicked mad-scientist vocals — the perfect complement to the band’s maniacal martian garage.
