If Twitter is to be believed, the special guest for the final night of the weekly summer Warm Up series at MoMA’s PS1 museum in New York is uber-DJ and chart-crusher Skrillex. This makes sense: the series, which began its run this season in late June, typically focuses on artists who occupy the outer edges of dance music. Previous installments this summer have featured grinding industrial act Vatican Shadow, Detroit techno legend Robert Hood and electro artist Pantha du Prince. The Skrillex set is particularly notable given the venue’s size — the capacity in the museum’s courtyard, where the shows are held, is around 3,000 people, making this one of the DJ’s smaller shows.
