Scott Walker and Sunn O))) have shed a little more light on their upcoming collaboration. Previously teased with little more than the text “Scott O))),” the team-up will be titled Soused.

According to a press release, Soused will have five tracks and last 50 minutes. It’s due out September 23 in North America and a day earlier in Europe via 4AD; the first pressing of the double LP will be on red vinyl.  Walker and frequent collaborator Peter Walsh produced, with help from musical director Mark Warman. Recording, which took place earlier this year, involved Sunn O)))’s core duo of Stephen O’Malley Greg Anderson as well as multi-instrumentalist Tos Nieuwenhuizen.

Sunn O))) asked Walker to be a guest on the drone-metal band’s 2009 album Monoliths and Dimensions, according to the press release. The avant-garde crooner passed, but last year he went to them with new material composed particularly to record with them.

Only several months have passed since Sunn O))) released Terrestrials, a collaboration with Norway’s Ulver. For Walker, Soused follows 2012′s Bish Bosch.
