Ryan Adams Reveals New 7”, Film Score Role For ‘Danny Collins’

Ryan Adams has lined up his first movie score gig, a collaboration with composer Theodore Shapiro for the Al Pacino film Danny Collins. According to Film Music Reporter, “The movie follows a rocker who decides to change his life after discovering a letter written to him by John Lennon – prompting him to track down his biological son, whom he’s never met.”

Some of Lennon’s songs are also featured on the soundtrack. (Its original title was actually Imagine.) Check out the official video for “Stay Alive” — the José Gonzalez song Shapiro and Adams co-wrote for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty — below:
