For David Letterman, it appears, there can never be too much “Gimme Something Good.” Ryan Adams was on Late Show last night to perform the upbeat roots rocker from his brand-new self-titled album, and when the song was over, the host asked his musical guest to play it again. The former Whiskeytown frontman and his band cheerfully complied, chunky guitar chords and pealing organ carrying the show into the credits.

Adams has also been spending time lately with former Hüsker Dü and Sugar frontman Bob Mould. Adams appeared in Mould’s “The War” video. Mould turned up in the Ryan Adams comedy promotional shorts. Earlier this week, Adams joined Mould onstage at New York’s Bowery Ballroom, joining him on “I Apologize,” “Something I Learned Today” and two other Hüsker Dü songs.
