Apollo Sunshine's Sam Cohen is the mind behind Yellowbirds, and on The Color, he sings light, breezy songs about trees, dreams and the ocean. "Beneath The Reach Of Light" and "Rings In The Trees" have a tropical vibe, parts of "The Honest Ocean" border on psychedelia, and "In Our World" uses acoustic guitar and what sounds like it might be ukulele. It's easygoing tunes perfect for a quickly-approaching spring.
