The Jewish Latino hip-hop collective Hip Hop Hoodios is no stranger to mixing and matching, so it should come as no surprise that the finest song on their newest release plays on the similarity of Guantanamera and Guantanamo. The track, which steals its theme from the classic Cuban tune, is a classic protest song that asks questions like "Habeas corpus, where you at?" and wonders just when we'll get "life, liberty, and justice back." Putting their money where their mouths are, 18% of the proceeds from the sales of this EP will go to Amnesty International and, specifically, their efforts to close Guantanamo Bay Prison.
