Have you ever asked yourself "What happened to the girl from Digable Planets?" Talk about a hiatus! One of the most anticipated reunions in hip-hop outside the Fugees or A Tribe Called Quest actually happened earlier this year when the members of Digable Planets locked themselves in a room, worked out their problems and proceeded to tour Europe and start recording new material. Digable fans rejoice as there will be a new album in 2006, but for now check out Ladybug's solo offering filled with various musical styles and vibes. Similar to Lauryn Hill's solo after the Fugees breakup, Ladybug has decided to flex her vocal skills, with songs ranging from hip-hop to bossa nova, with a little neo-soul, rock and R&B all mixed in as well. It can be a little inconsistent if you are looking for one straight sound, but she successfully experimenting with different genres on "Centre of Nowhere," "Leaving It All Behind" and "Remember When." Ladybug also proves she has not lost a step when it comes to dropping that trademark jazzy hip-hop with "Dogg Starr," "Ladybug Come Outside" and the soulful "Sexual Alchemy."
