On their debut, Brooklyn's Teenage Prayers manage the perfect blend of country, pop and R&B, sounding alternately rough and raucous ("Center of the World") and slow and swaying ("All the World's a Song"). It's the kind of combination lesser bands try and bungle — equal parts gruff grandeur and amazing ache.
