As members of two of bluegrass music's most influential brother duos (the Osborne Brothers and Jim & Jesse), Bobby Osborne and Jesse McReynolds both left a considerable mark on the development of mandolin playing in the 20th century. Their first collaboration, released in 2001, consists of both instrumental and vocal-duet tracks; they're most impressive on the former, matching each other's virtuosity with exacting echoes on such old favorites as "Soldier's Joy" and "Cheyenne."
