I was worried that the mutual admiration society these two iconoclast figures had gotten too comfy, worried it would dilute the jarring impact produced by their colliding sensibilities. Boy was I dumb. Theirs is a partnership that keeps deepening — “Sea Legs,” for instance, is a song that couldn’t have appeared on last year’s perfect brick-through-a-window R.A.P. Music — as its two authors keep discovering new things they draw out of each other. The most fertile indie-rap partnership in years continues.
