Where Young Grass Grows

Possibly the strangest music on the planet.

The overtone, or throat singing, of the Tuvan people of Central Asia is the kind of music to prickle the hairs of your neck. Voices that sound as if they're coming from deep beneath the ground, or from another galaxy entirely, accompanied by strange fiddles, all to the rhythm of cantering horses (still the main Tuvan transport). From the earth but seemingly not of it, it's possibly the strangest music on the planet.
