A monolithic masterpiece of grunge-punk terror.

Sydney's Feedtime have always done things at their own pace. They formed in 1979 but released their self-titled debut in 1985; after splitting up in 1989, they reformed in 1995 and released Billy the following year. Listening to it, you can see why bands like Nirvana and Sonic Youth have acknowledged the Sydneysiders as an influence: Billy is a monolithic masterpiece of minimalist grunge-punk terror. The pace isn't that fast but singer-guitarist Rick Johnson's subterranean growl and Paul Larkin's primitive, pounding drumming make Feedtime's assault relentless.
