Chicago’s castrato bluesman, collected.

One of the least remembered Chicago bluesmen, Lenoir was also one of the most distinctive. With a voice so high many mistook him for a woman and his steady boogie guitar work riding atop “African hunch” rhythms, he delights on the likes of “Mama Talk to Your Daughter” or “I Feel So Good.” And though its song selection overlaps some with those of other eMusic options, this is indeed the best introduction.
