Two weeks ago we were in Austin, plowing headlong through another South by Southwest. The results were mixed. One of the upsides, though, was having the opportunity to catch up with a few of our favorite artists. In order to get a better view of the people behind the music, we decided to try something a little different: During each interview we asked an ethical question from the board game Scruples to see what each artist would do in the situation described. Below, John Doe talks about artistic empathy and answers a question about whether or not he’d turn down a free meal.
