On Saturday, the line outside Seattle’s Hilliard’s brewery wrapped around the block as eager music lovers waited for free music and beer as part of Jansport/Noisey’s “Bonfire Sessions” concert series. Opening up the night were the four winsome ladies of La Luz, whose unique spin on surf rock never fails to mobilize the floor.
Making a quick pit stop at home while currently touring in support of their new record, Nausea, Craft Spells mesmerized the room in a sea of lush, sparkling guitars reinforced by a tight and driving rhythm section.
Unknown Mortal Orchestra‘s unique hybrid of psych/jazz rock truly lends itself to an incendiary live show. From jaw dropping drum solos to straight up Hendrix-style shredding, front man Ruban Nielsen’s uncanny knack for performance is certain to cement this band’s place in the books.
