Patti Smith has already said that she plans to do a tour next year for the 40th anniversary of Horses, where audiences are sure to hear her famous hit “Gloria.” We’re not quite sure that she’ll be allowed to rock this tune at the Vatican, though.

Pitchfork reported that the Holy See announced that Smith will be part of the Vatican’s annual Christmas performance, Concerto di Natale, which is held at Rome’s Auditorium Conciliazione on December 13.

The concert will be broadcast live on television.

In addition to singing for the Pope and her upcoming tour plans, Smith also told Rolling Stone that she’s working on a new album with her children Jackson and Jesse, as well as the follow-up to her National Book Award-winning memoir, Just Kids.
