If you’re confused about how the whole Parquet Courts/Parkay Quarts duel moniker breaks down, the difference between the two is centered around bassist Sean Yeaton and drummer Max Savage. When Yeaton and Savage are around, Parquet Courts. When they’re not, then Andrew Savage and Austin Brown are joined by saxophonist Jef Brown and fiddler Bob Jones to play as the band’s alter-ego Parkay Quarts. Make sense now? Good. (Don’t forget that there’s also PCPC; the joint band formed between the members of Parquet Courts and PC Worship. Why restrict yourself to only one or two names, when you can have three?)

Next week, Parkay Quarts will release Content Nausea. Originally described as “something between an EP and LP,” the 35 minute recording is streaming in full today over on SoundCloud.

They’ve also announced an ambitious tour, under all three monikers, with U.S. and European dates. And they popped up as Parquet Courts to play a surprise set with Tyvek this past Monday at Death by Audio in Brooklyn.

Content Nausea will be available on November 11 via What’s Your Rupture?
