Continued update: Rusty Lazer, Nicky Da B’s manager, wrote the following on his Tumblr today:

UPDATE: Nicky Da B’s management has confirmed the artist’s passing in an email to Wondering Sound and released the following statement:

It is with heaviness in our hearts today that we confirm the passing of Nicky Da B. Nicky was a beautiful soul and we will always be grateful for his magnetic personality and loving spirit. We were inspired by his talent as much as his tireless optimism, compassion and humility. Our condolences go out to his family at this time.

News has surfaced on Twitter that 24-year-old New Orleans bounce artist Nicky Da B has passed away. While he is a rising star on that scene, he is best known for collaborating with Diplo on the track “Express Yourself.” There is currently no cause of death publicized, nor an official confirmation of his passing┬ábut┬áBig Freedia, a marquee star of the New Orleans bounce scene, has tweeted his condolences.
