Although the new Charli XCX album Sucker was originally supposed to be released on October 21, a month ahead of time the singer announced that she would have to push back the date to December 16. She took to Twitter to reassure fans that it was finished, citing the success and longevity of single “Boom Clap” as a reason for the delay.
In addition to “Boom Clap,” we’ve also heard two other tracks off the album; “Break the Rules” and the recent “London Queen.” Then last week, Lorde shared Charli XCX’s contribution to The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part I soundtrack, which was a duet with Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon titled “Kingdom.”
And today, with only a few weeks to go before Sucker drops, she released another song “Gold Coins.”
