N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton is going ahead despite recent troubles involving Suge KnightBillboard reports.

An unnamed insider told the industry magazine, “The expectation is that it will finish.” A separate anonymous source said all is “status quo” with the movie. But at press time Universal Pictures had reportedly yet to relaunch its set after the Jan. 29 hit-and-run accident involving Knight, the former rap mogul.

Knight was arrested and has since been charged with murder. His $2.2 million bail was revoked and he reportedly suffered a courtroom panic attack. According to Billboard‘s sources, the incident started when Knight arrived on the film’s Compton set uninvited and exchanged words with set worker Cle “Bone” Sloan, at which point Universal stopped production. Sloan, 51, was hospitalized after Knight allegedly drove over him with his car, and 55-year-old Terry Carter was killed.
