Madonna Taps Diplo, Avicii For New Album

Given her longtime relationship with both fringe and mainstream dance producers — including Mirwais, Stuart Price and Benny Benassi — it probably shouldn’t be a surprise that Madonna has already clocked hours with Swedish superstar Avicii (the guy on the far right in the festival photo above) for her next album. Now she’s thrown another love-or-hate EDM leader into the mix: Diplo.

“Diplo is a slave driver!” Madonna wrote on Instagram yesterday. “Got me working all hours of the night in the studio. Had to sneak into the bathroom!”

Aside from sharing a droopy-eyed selfie, the singer also shared a shot of the Major Lazer/Mad Decent founder, Material Girl gloves and all, working on a laptop in the studio.
