“Rosetta” saw the light of day on a cassette circulated by the London-based label Blank Editions earlier this year, but it’s pinged back into circulation today, and with good reason: it pays tribute to the Rosetta probe, which yesterday positioned its Philae lander on the surface of 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, a comet in orbit around our sun. Backed by musicians including Hush Arbors, Samara Lubelski and Sunburned Hand of the Man’s John Moloney, it’s Moore at his most wide-eyed and cosmic, sounding awestruck as he relates the satellite’s passage through the heavens. Jettison your new-age bunkum and bask in the wonder of science.
