On “Suffering You, Suffering Me,” Sheffield duo Slow Club sound bigger and shinier than their delightfully scrappy, folk-leaning beginnings and their more recent indie-pop endeavors. The song starts with minimal guitar over Rebecca Taylor’s reedy alto, then builds up with drums, cymbals, piano, and full-on Motown strings and horns. While Taylor’s lyrics are about her broken, lied-to heart, her valiant delivery suggests she’s going to be just fine.
