After the raging fury of their outstanding Tape Two, it’s a little disorienting to hear Katie Alice Greer, frontwoman for D.C. quartet Priests actually singing. The approach suits her: she has a tough, laserlike voice, and it’s just as effective when focused on melody as roaring snarling. But while “Right Wing” is more immediate than anything on Tape Two, its message is still barbed. “Everything, everything’s so right wing,” Greer laments over taut, stabbing guitars. As a first volley from the forthcoming Bodies and Control and Money and Power EP, it’s instantly arresting.
