In case the softer acoustic angles of the King Tuff song we shared last month had all you guitar heroes worried about the direction of his next album, take a deep breath and blast the King’s second Black Moon Spell single. Sparked by a fire-breathing, rip-roaring riff, the title track will remind intrepid listeners of Kyle Thomas’s long dormant Witch project with J Mascis and at least one other member of the power-pop band Sweet Apple. A D&D rock direction, then, peaking with a gospel-ish climax that’s straight out of “Gimme Shelter.”
