A shoe company that I won’t name here has a penchant for linking up three unexpected artists to craft one track — and they don’t usually turn out so hot. “One Touch,” a collaboration between Baauer, AlunaGeorge and Rae Sremmurd, should function as an example for how to bring together musicians at different poles to make something miraculous. Baauer has seamlessly synthesized the sumptuousness of AlunaGeorge’s output into something that the ATL brother duo responsible for two of biggest club-rattlers of the year to wild out over. And it works. It really, really works. Aluna Fancis’s honeyed coo is right at home with Rae Sremmurd’s mania because of Baauer’s dank, bassy production. I still don’t totally understand how we got here, but I am so glad we did.
