It’s fitting that the San Francisco band Street Eaters’ forthcoming record is called Blood::Muscles::Bones — their sound is similarly lean and elemental. On this, the title track, the guitar/drums duo maximize propulsion; the guitars are nervy and ragged, and Megan March’s voice is clarion-clear. “I will never break,” she vows, as the song enters its final moments. The line is delivered with such conviction and tenacity, only a fool would doubt her.
