Priests’ 2013 album Tape Two was a gut shot, a smoldering batch of searing punk rock so immediately arresting we named them one of our 14 to Watch in 2014. Since that time, the band has signed with New Jersey label Don Giovanni — home of Screaming Females, Waxahatchee and a whole host more — and are gearing up for the release of the EP Bodies and Control and Money and Power on June 3rd. Last week, they delivered another single from the record; “Doctor” is a fierce, clawing song, the kind fueled by a kind of potent dark energy. Listen below, and catch the band on tour throughout the month of June.
