Love him or hate him, Lil Wayne has become one of the biggest names in the rap game over the past decade. But now he’s apparently calling it quits. Well, sorta.
In a recent interview with MTV, Wayne said on record that his upcoming Tha Carter V could possibly be his last solo project ever. Yes, for-ev-er.
“I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes, and it’s definitely the final Carter album. It’s the final Carter album. It’s stopping at five,” he told MTV News.
Weezy went on to say that it would take around “$25 to 35 million” for him to consider doing another solo LP. “It seems like it’d be impossible for me to work this hard again for anything else,” he said.
This doesn’t mean that Wayne is done rapping all together, he’s got Cash Money to think about. Either way, it does look like Tha Carter is about to hang up his jersey for good.
