And the early leak goes to … Lana Del Rey. The Ultraviolence auteur, future Courtney Love tourmate and recent Maleficent theme-singer has spurred Oscar chatter with her two songs on the soundtrack of Tim Burton’s December 25 film Big Eyes. A fair chunk of the title track, a woozy orchestral-pop anthem about “what women in love will do,” already emerged in the Big Eyes trailer, and now as Stereogum points out that song has surfaced in full, along with Del Rey’s other track for the film, “I Can Fly,” which works with a similar wistful swoon. Listen to them both below. “I had a dream that I was fine / I wasn’t crazy, I was divine,” Del Rey sings on the second new track, a line that contains so many of her self-conflicted themes it’s tough to know which song to hope wins an Academy Award. She also had a song on 2013′s The Great Gatsby soundtrack, though, so maybe the third time will be the charm?
