Lady Gaga Set to Appear in ‘Sin City’ Sequel, Alongside Tony Bennett

Lady Gaga has two very different projects on tap for the rest of 2014. First up: an appearance in Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez’s Sin City sequel, A Dame to Kill For. Set to hit theaters on August 22, the film features the singer in a supporting role alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a waitress named Bertha.

“I love Rodriguez; he really killed this one!” Gaga wrote on Instagram yesterday, confirming the news, which was first revealed in the red band trailer below during last week’s Comic Con.

As for the pop star’s other big news, that’d be Cheek to Cheek, a long planned collaborative LP with Tony Bennett. Due out September 23 through Streamline/Columbia/Interscope, it includes such Great American songbook standards as “It Don’t Mean A Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing),” “Sophisticated Lady,” “Lush Life” and the newly leaked “Anything Goes.” Have a listen here; we’ve also dialed things back to 2011, the year Bennett asked Gaga to sing alongside him on the Duets II album…
