The Knife Rework Old Material For New Mini-Album

If you caught The Knife’s recent Shaking the Habitual tour — an eye-singeing experience we documented in photo form here — then you probably noticed how the group’s set was guided by gently remixed material from their last couple LPs. (No “Heartbeats,” sorry; singer Karin Dreijer Andersson only performs that single karaoke style in the company of Bill Murray.) Well Rabid, Brille and Mute Records have decided to repackage some of that material for a mini-album called Shaken-Up Versions. Due out June 17, it includes fresh renditions of “Silent Shout,” “We Share Our Mother’s Health” and “Without You My Life Would Be Boring,” which is unveiled in video form below…
