Now that Rilo Kiley’s archives have been cleared — with a compilation called … rkives — the singer has shifted her focus back to a solo career that’s about to be the busiest it’s been since 2008′s Acid Tongue LP. For starters, Lewis and recurring collaborator Jonathan Rice (see: their sole Jenny and Johnny album) recently wrapped the film score for Song One, which “positively swells with songs” despite a “slight” plot according to Variety. More importantly, Lewis has a new solo album set to hit shops in July. According to Stereogum, it’s called Voyager and includes such uplifting songs as “Slippery Slopes,” “The New You” and “She’s Not Me.”
