If HAIM are going to keep ruling pop, at least they’ll be benevolent old-world wizard-czars. In the new video for Calvin Harris’s ’80s-echoing EDM-pop anthem “Pray to God,” the sisterly trio rides horseback and generally looks like some kind of folkloric royalty — with powers of enchantment, naturally — in wintry forest scenes accompanied by wild animals. HAIM didn’t win Best New Artist at this week’s Grammy Awards, but this clip from Harris’s Motion, as with their work for the latest Hunger Games soundtrack, helps keep them in the public eye until their follow-up to 2013′s precision-guided breakthrough, Days Are Gone. They previously said a new album would be here “very soon,” and more recently indicated they were working again with previous collaborator Ariel Rechtshaid. Speaking of Grammys, this video suggests it’s unlikely any of the HAIM siblings would mistake a big, bad wolf for their grandmother.
