Google still hasn’t announced a general release date for its Google Glass eyewear, but now and then the tech giant has turned to musicians to make the new product look appealing. Nearly a year ago, Jay Z-affiliated producer Young Guru starred in a promotional video for Glass, and if the thing hadn’t cost $1,500 I just might’ve been inspired to go out and buy one. Now FKA twigs has shared a “concept film” called “#throughglass,” and the effect is similar. Watch below as she dances with her doppelgangers to fractured reworkings of “Video Girl” (from this year’s LP1) and a song titled “Glass & Patron.” Yes, it’s an advertisement, but it’s also a dizzying work that could double as a musing on the alternate selves we present online — anyway, just don’t get addicted.
