Earl Sweatshirt has launched a new Soundcloud account under the nondescript name important_man464, offering up two previously unreleased tracks in the process. Recorded soon after the rapper’s 2012 return from a Samoan boarding school, the woozy, downbeat tracks include a sparring session with Mac Miller, a couple tight verses by Vince Staples, and a 6 a.m. session Sweatshirt has “a special place for in my heart.”
“Any music I did before January (except for pre guild whoa sunday + select others) doesn’t matter to me,” he wrote on Twitter. “I’m on some other shit as a human now.
He then added, “Please doubt me so that it’s that much more fun to spit in your face later.”
Sounds like someone’s going to be clearing his hard drive over the next couple weeks and coming out swinging soon after that…
