In what seems to be a series of never-ending confrontations and accusations, there is now an additional layer of confusion in the ongoing legal battle between Dr. Luke and Kesha. Dr. Luke has also filed a lawsuit against Kesha’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, for defamation.

In a series of tweets, one of which has now been deleted, Geragos posted a link to Howard Stern’s interview with Lady Gaga last week. The pop star had admitted to Stern during the course of the interview, that she had been raped at the age of 19 by a record producer.

In the additional tweet that Geragos deleted, another Twitter user replied, “Lukasz,” (Dr. Luke’s legal first name) at which point the lawyer retweeted the response and added the hashtag “#bingo.”

Lady Gaga’s camp immediately released a statement that Geragos’s claim was false and repeated the singer’s claim today to Rolling Stone by saying, “This ridiculous, manufactured link between Lady Gaga and the Kesha/Dr. Luke lawsuit is utterly incomprehensible. This simply isn’t true and how dare someone take advantage of such a sensitive matter.”

Dr. Luke is seeking damages for a financial amount yet to be determined, in addition to lawyers’ fees and court costs.

Back in October, Kesha sued Dr. Luke on charges of physical, sexual and emotional abuse; alleging that the producer had raped her, threatened her physically and verbally abused her over the course of many years. Dr. Luke responded by suing Kesha and her mother, Pebe Sebert, on charges of extortion and defamation. The suits are still ongoing.
