The Diplomats are back, and they still know how to cause a stir. Reports surfaced last week that the cult-adored New York rap collective popularly known as Dipset had reunited for a new mixtape. Yesterday came “Have My Money,” which brought the group of Cam’Ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey back together over horn-smeared Vinny Idol production.

Later yesterday, the reunited Dipset stopped by Funkmaster Flex’s show on New York’s Hot 97 radio station. The Diplomats each took a turn rapping as part of a freestyle, but as AllHipHop points out, Cam’Ron’s prewritten verse stood out for its reference to Jay Z, Solange and, implicitly, this past May’s elevator incident.

“Jay said he made me millions — had to think about it,” Cam’Ron can be seen rapping. “I’m thinking, like, ‘Why he still thinking about it?’ / On the Drake record for the world to view / Seen Solange, she said, ‘What means the world to you?’ / And gave me dap. I swear to God, that’s word to Hudd / I specialize in two things — birds and bud.”

On “Pound Cake,” from Drake‘s Nothing Was the Same, Jay Z raps, “I’ve done made more millionaires than the lotto did,” and his list of beneficiaries includes the likes of not only Cam’Ron but also Kanye West. Cam’Ron rapped over the “We Made It” instrumental last year, mentioning Beyoncé’s husband in his lyrics. In a radio interview, Cam’Ron previously praised Solange and described Jay Z’s position in the infamous elevator feud as a “no-win situation.”

No title or release date have been announced for the new Dipset mixtape just yet, but it’s set to be hosted by Funkmaster Flex, Swizz Beatz, DJ Khaled and DJ Mustard. A short tour is also reportedly in the works. The Diplomats released only two official albums together, 2003′s Diplomatic Immunity and 2004′s Diplomatic Immunity 2, but they reunited in 2010 with AraabMuzik for the producer’s breakout “Salute.” They’ve also played occasional reunion shows.
