About a month ago, Deer Tick revealed that they will be staying at an apartment/creative space sponsored by Sour Patch Kids while they’re celebrating 10 years as a band with a week of shows in Brooklyn. If the Rhode Island rockers caught any blowback for “selling out,” they’re certainly not showing it, as today they released “White Havoc,” a holiday song from a Converse-sponsored EP. Premiering on Stereogum, the jolly, playful tune will appear on the Noise to the World 2 compilation alongside selections from Dum Dum Girls, Iamsu!, GRMLN, Michael Christmas, and Torreblanca. You can also hear GRMLN’s “Before December (You’re Alive)” below, while the remaining four songs are due out later this week. As a bonus, there are four in-store performances set for Boston, New York, and San Francisco in the coming weeks, where vinyl copies of Noise to the World 2 will be given out for free. Find those dates below the song.
