The details are still up in the air at the moment, but this much is clear: David Pajo, the Slint founding member who also played with the likes of Zwan and Interpol, could use your warm wishes.

“There will be things said about David in the press these coming days and he’ll need our love and support,” a post on Pajo’s official Facebook page reads. “Feel free to comment here.”

The post comes after comments on the Electrical Audio message board indicated that Pajo survived a suicide attempt last night.

Louisville, Kentucky-born Pajo, who has performed solo as Papa M and under his last name, also worked with Tortoise, Royal Trux,  the Yeah Yeahs, Will Oldham and Stereolab. He’s 46.

UPDATE: Pajo has posted a photo of himself in a hospital room giving a thumbs-up.
