We won’t be at Coachella this weekend or next, but if we were, you better believe we wouldn’t be skipping The Knife to see the second (or is it the third or fourth?) coming of The Cult, forsaking the Pet Shop Boys for Skrillex, or missing what may be the only chance we’d ever get to catch Motörhead while Lemmy’s gas tank is still half-full. As for those of you who with sold-out tickets, this year’s set times are now up, so may the debates over who’s worth your time begin.

One bit of advice though: catch Factory Floor at 12:30 in the Gobi tent on Sunday. Their early afternoon set is one glaring example of the unfortunate differences between U.S. and UK festivals — while the London trio’s sound is tailor made for moonlit dancefloors, American fans would much rather catch the endorphin-flooding EDM of Calvin Harris and Zedd as the handshake drugs kick in. Neither is wrong or right; they’re just … different.

As for the last-minute addition of Pixies and Julian Casablancas’s new Voidz band, we hear the former’s still kicking after all these years despite the absence of dearly missed bassist Kim Deal, and the Strokes frontman, well, you can be the judge of that one. We’d much rather watch the fest’s other slight schedule tweak: the first solo Nicolas Jaar set in forever. He’ll also be playing with his psych-steeped duo Darkside, which you can watch a video from below…
